So with the Assassin's Creed gaming franchise starting in 2007, you would think that it's surprising that there is about to be a seventh one. Not including the 13 other games that you would find on google play or handhelds. But in today's society, it's actually pretty common for a new game in a single series to be released once a year. We see this happen all the time with sports games, Call of Duty and many others. So what is it that's going to make this one stand out compared to any of the previous Assassin's Creed games?
Besides the improved melee combat, stealth system, cooperative multiplayer, and new weapons, there are many things to make people turn their heads to this one. First let's talk about the melee combat. The combat was rebuilt in this game using fencing as a new feature. The new features help for times in great need of being stealthy and cautious. By the way, even the stealth system is enhanced! With the third person perspective, it can have pros and cons when it comes to being sly.But with the controls being so fluent, and the stealth being much better, there's only a severe limit on the cons to the third person perspective with this game. How about the cooperative multiplater!? This is the big one. The one that will make everyone look this way! The co-op mode in this game had so much controversy about something as stupid as people complaining about their being no female avatar to play as. WHO GIVES 7 AND 1/2 GOAT SHITS!? It's a game... They announced at E3 the reason for this having no female avatar to play as is because of the "reality of production" basically meaning that because of the story, because of the gameplay, because they decided that this is how they wanted it to be, there are many reasons why there are no female avatars to play as in this game. Pretty much all of the production work for this game has been doubled! So you know that even though this game is coming out around the same time frame as the rest in the series, they made sure to put extra hard work into this one! Last but not least, let's talk about the weapons. The game is bringing back previous weapons from the other games in the series, but there are going to be new weapons as well. Like the Phantom Blade. This weapon uses the mechanics of a crossbow to fire a silent projectile a great distance, while still having a similar purpose as the Hidden Blade, in the previous Assassin's Creed games.
To be hoest, I have no clue if this game is going to be the best one in the series, but it definitely does have it's reasons to make you question whether or not it is.
